I transitioned from mountain guiding to filmmaking in January 2020. Luckily, I had people show me it was possible, but still had to figure it out as I went. I made plenty of mistakes, learned by doing, and honestly, I am still figuring it out.

I’ve been fortunate enough to direct six-figure projects, travel the world to film in dream locations, and work alongside some incredible people.

Now I run North Cascade Films, working with brands & organizations like Outdoor Research and State of Washington Tourism. My films have won awards and screened at international festivals, but what I'm most excited about is helping other creatives make the transition to a sustainable filmmaking career and avoid some of the mistakes I made along the way.

I share what I've learned through my newsletter and content because I want to be the resource I wish I had when I was getting started. No gatekeeping, just insights from someone who's still learning but willing to pull back the curtain on what I’m doing.

When I'm not creating, you'll probably find me bouldering, trail running, or skiing somewhere in the mountains.
